Spent most of this morning at an AgPals class learning to put together a homebrew version of an EarthBox. I now have, on my (rapidly getting overcrowded) patio, the following plants:
Brought from the old house: one Italian stone pine, one Aleppo pine, one black oak (doing poorly /: ), one live oak (doing great!), a miniature rosebush, and a small wooden barrel of boysenberries.
Given to me a few weeks ago by my parents: the world's tiniest kumquat tree
In the new hydroponics box (made from an 18g tub, super-easy to do, will be doing more in the future if this works well), one Early Girl tomato, one Hungarian Wax hot pepper, a bunch of basil that's going to need thinning, green onions, a greenleaf lettuce, and a strawberry plant.
I feel so much better now. {: Man, I missed my tomatoes. {:
