I found the HOA documents for our potential new house on the internet last night.

I think we're going to end up bailing on this house. I can't imagine having to ask permission to have more than five trees on a half-acre lot. I have four trees *on my apartment balcony right now*, at least two of which I was hoping to put in the ground.

Date: 2012-07-09 03:50 pm (UTC)Also, I suspect that if you had a master plan and you showed it to them, they'd be waaaaaaay more likely to be reasonable. Lots of folks just stick stuff in the ground willy nilly and it dies and looks ugly. (Our redbud looks ugly right now because being transplanted in may did NOT agree with it and it has no leaves. But we know it's wick and we're taking careful care of it so it should be *gorgeous* next spring....)
