Just as a friendly FYI ...

If you end up with a sports-related injury, the place to go to get the sports-related braces is, of course, a sports-related store. (In this particular case: Sports Authority, which has quite the selection of I-hurt-myself-fix-it-please things.)

After four days, I finally have braces that fit and are specifically designed for chondromalacia patella, among other things. Woo?

By the way, I might be small, but apparently I'm big, too. I need the large/xl braces. o_O The s/m braces do not fit around my thighs. {:

The braces were probably designed for guys. Guys, as often as not, don't have thighs. They have legs. We "ladies" are the ones who kick like mules. ;)

(hugs) Woo for appropriate leg braces! Speaking as someone who is currently dealing with the VA (latest report: "oh, they're not going to do anything until it's a lot worse, but you're trying to get pregnant, so the extra 20-40 lbs will take care of that!"), I'm envious of you having sports-related advice!
